Jim August, CEO of The Forks North Portage Partnership, will be discussing plans for new development at The Forks.  Initial announcements included controversial residential as well as commercial development.  Considerable concern was expressed in the media about giving up green space and/or parking space in the name of further Forks development.

We'll get an update on the Forks development plans as well as a status report on construction of the new Canadian Museum for Human Rights.  Jim will also discuss the current state of the downtown section of Portage Avenue, and some improvements planned by The Forks North Portage Partnership.
